Good one! i used to cross country ski there. Fortunately didn't see any wildlife; but then you wouldn't see bears in winter. They become extremely docile in their caves during hibernation.

We saw one about that size, we were fishing at Bowron Lakes in British Columbia, the bear appeared on the shore line and started to lope towards us, our guide said that, although we were 50 metres from shore, we should move away, bears are good swimmers apparently
