Rolled rings?

Is there anyone on here who can make me some rolled rings? I want 2 10 inch diameter by 2 inches wide and 3 x 5 inch diameter 3/4 inch wide.
Both sizes in thickest gauge poss up to 1/2 inch.
They're for the front and rear wheels and flywheel for a model traction engine.

how critical are your OD's?
10" NPS, Sch 60 pipe is 10.75" OD and 12.7mm wall? Might be easier to get

4.5" NPS, is 5" OD -Sch XS is 9mm wall XXS is 18mm. 4.5" not a common size though

Hi Jeff,

There are a few of the suppliers we use for work who do rolling. I don't know about cost but I can enquire if you want?

With those sort of diameters I am not sure how close to 1/2 thickness you will be able to get, I would think you would struggle to get over 8mm for the larger and possibly 5mm for the smaller one, but that is just a guess.

what's your budget? i deal with a manufacturer of forged rings and another that makes cast rings. Will not be cheap, or even reasonably priced.

Thanks guys. I'm coming to the conclusion that this will cost more than my car! I've found a source for 5 inch pipe at 6.80 per inch! Copper tube for the boiler 60 quid, etc. I'm staggered by the cost of metal. Think I'll stick with wood turning

1/2 inch thick? That's a bit ott? My 4 inch scale garret is about 3/8 thick from memory and I rolled / welded myself.

What you building? By the size of the wheels I'm guessing its about 2 inch scale? Somewhere I've still got he rollers I used to do my wheels so I'll see what I can do. Have you got the metal?
