new build.parts advice would be helpfull

i have found a chassis and body for the car i want to build for my son but sadly id did not come with alot of the parts as the previouse owner lost intrest before building it.Its a 32 ford hot rod.Any ideas on where i can get a steering coloumn wheel hubs ect?All i have got is a basic chassis and body.I can find an engine easily enough but strugling with other parts. If it was a full size kit car there afe a 1000 and 1 places to buy parts.Any advice would be usefull. The original owner couldnt remember where he got it from and there are no identifying marks on chassis or body
thanx
jason

I don't know of many places in the UK as I live in Canada.
But you can try these guys online.

http://www.ididitinc.com

They specialize in steering columns.

I assume from the above that its a 'tot rod' i.e for children?

If so you could try www.totrods.co.uk , google "tot rods" etc.

Prob best picking up Go Kart parts on ebay e.g a rolling chassis to get wheels, axles etc in one hit.

Engine wise, lawnmower/mobility scooter etc?

Hope this helps and I've not got the wrong end of the stick!
