Making a wooden canapy/porch

Hi all

Wifey has asked if i can make a canapy/porch that will go over the back door, just to shelter you while opening closing the door, in this inclement weather,
of coarse i said, i can make anything, but normaly a mess!!, but my woodworking skills are not very good
Are there any plans that i can view to get an idea from, i tried googling, but not quite what im after

Rough sizing would 1.5mtre wide, and about 1 mtre from the house to the edge, and to have sides, but only to the bottom of the canapy, and not to the floor, so nothing major

regards

Steve

If your woodworking skills are not that good (mine are fair to poor) then Grp Door Canopy | eBay could be a much easier way to go. No messing around cutting wood, having to paint etc etc just fit and forget!

Square timber frame, bolted to the wall.
Then screw the bottom end of piece of marine 3-ply to the frame.
Bend in an arch, clamp and screw to other frame side.
Then paint the colour of your choice.
Sorted.
