Manifold Advice

Been busy making an exhaust manifold, my plan is to use spring & eye retainers on the 4 pipes into the collector. Am I better off hard mounting the collector to the chassis, or arranging it on a rubber bobbin type thing ?

Do I need to soft mount all of the system on bobbins for the vibration etc ? exhaust virgin....

Cheers

Can you hang the collector off the engine?
So manifold and collector move as one, is your engine hard mounted or on av mounts?

Personally I would rubber mount everything to reduce vibration and reduce stress.

Me too! Or fit a small flexy in the system.

I thought of either a bobbin mounted to the chassis and then u clamped round the exit side of the collector, what I might do now is fit a flexi after the collector aswell as the bobbin.

cheers guys
