cutting out

Have been out on a couple of drives to get the tuner studio to improve my fuel map . All goes well then the AFR guage swings sharply round the lean and the car splutters to a halt , is this the software trying too hard or a delay from the lambda to ecu to laptop to right foot causing it to jump the wrong way ?

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Is the fuel pump OK?

...or fuel surge or air-lock/breather problems in the tank.

What happens when you restart it?

churns over a while then splutters into life . both pumps brand new , I'll check the earth on the injection pump when I get a chance , can't hear it running when the engine is barking
