Silencer dimensions for a 2.0L Zetec?

Hello everyone!

My first post here. I am a student at Bath university studying Mechanical Engineering and I have been (slowly) building a Haynes Roadster since I was 17.

I'm running a 2.0L Silvertop Zetec with throttle bodies and megasquirt so looking at around 170bhp, 180 tops. I need my exhaust dB to be low enough for IVA (obviously) and also low enough for trackdays (not sure what this level is, but I assume if it has passed an IVA then it'll pass for track use too?).

Can anyone suggest what silencer dimensions I require? and where you would recommend buying from?

Thanks
Josh

to save a whole heap of hastle, and money id say look in the f/s section as one has just been put up for a very low price.with a cat. passed IVA at 99db or whatever it is now.way lower than the 105db most tracks have!

I would love to look at that post but if I want to read it I have to 'become a contributor'. Also my engine is 1993 so I am exempt from running a cat.
