alternator light

Hi all.
hopefully a simple question
had alternator repaired (but cannot guarantee problem may be from earlier)
battery light lights but dim, if i switch on headlights it goes out. Volt meter show a healthy 14v charge. Battery is healthy - Starts after being left for a week. Doesn't seem to be a problem but just for peace of mind. Any ideas why the battery light lights?

Summary, you have got something wrong possibly with the regulator I think?
