New owner saying hello

Hi all, thought I'd introduce myself having bought a bike engined MK Indy 6 weeks or so ago. Unfortunatly, two days after picking the car up the gearbox gave up. Two and a half days of having the car the engine was out, stripped and on the bench awaiting delivery of the new components needed to fix, which Unfortunatly I am still waiting for. In the mean time, I've been reading the forum to pick up plenty of advice of you chaps.

Ah bad luck mate, sure you'll get it sorted for the summer, ideal time to sort the car out during winter.

Cheers

Rich

P.s Welcome!

Yeah, at least I know it'll be good for summer, just a bit gutted it happened two days after purchase. It's a 2003 cbr954. It wouldn't stay in 2nd gear when you put the gas on so I decided to pull the engine and have a look. It was quite obvious what the issues were when I split the crankcase. The one part I'm after which is currently on back order from honda is the main shaft 3/4 gear part no. 23451-MCJ-750 of anyone does have one kicking around. I did place a post in the wanted section on the off chance.

Take that moped engine out before something breaks and fit a car engine.

Use your 'Photo Archive' up the top left corner of the screen under the LocostBuilders logo

It will give you an 'Image Code' simply copy & paste that into your text when you post - simplz
