Quite Happy with the tank.
Just finished off the fuel tank for the Alfa 7, I'm please with the outcome. Thought I'd share with you. and yes the mounts have been
added since.

If I was building from scratch again, I would top mount it as on the back panel, filling up is a pita

More to do with the fact that i've yet to pressure test it I've made blanking plates for the pump and vent, just kinda more difficult
to seal the filler neck.

I can't remember the name of it, but Loctite do a compound for rinsing around tanks and it helps seal them from the inside.
May be useful as a belt-and-braces approach.

Whilst I like belt and braces, I'll just make it properly first time (well after maybe a few little spot welds)
I pressurize it to 2-3 Psi and use
Snoop to find and
air leaks.

Sure - and that's a fine approach as well - if it's holding 2 PSI you're good.
I'll be using the loctite in my carbon tank to protect the fibres jsut in case there are split ones that then absorb petrol due to capillary
action - it's a fairly standard approach.
still, that's a man's tank. Huge. my ... look at your massive tank, etc.

10.2 Gallons, should be enough to run a 3.0L V6 for a few miles
