FS: 1999 VW Passat 1.8SE 20V Estate With Aircon
I’ve had this car for 10 years and now it’s time to pass it on. It failed its MOT so I’ve decided to sell it on for someone else to enjoy while I look
for something a bit newer (actually, I've ordered a Skoda Yeti...).
Looking for £400 but make me an offer. That doesn't include the tax disc but I have its disc (valid until 31 October 2014) which I will sell for
the cashback value if you want it.
MOT failure points:
* One wiper blade needs replacing
* One headlamp aim too low
* Offside front CV gaiter split and needs replacing
* Exhaust noise
* CO2 emissions too high
* Offside front brake/service brake/imbalance across front axle
The first 3 items are easy fixes. The mechanic said that there was a slight blow from the exhaust and fixing that should fix the noise and CO2.
The front brake is apparently not gripping the disc on one side – calliper needs removing, maybe piston replacement, or maybe just needs freeing up
and refitting?
Aside from that, there are a few small scratches and dings as you would expect, but overall it looks reasonable inside and out and drives fine.
Cassette player doesn’t work and the battery is a bit weak, but on the plus side it’s only got 139,000 miles on the clock, has been serviced regularly
(just had an oil and filter change) and the aircon works!
It’s the petrol 1.8 with 125bhp, by the way.
Sold as seen for spares or repairs due to no MOT, but could easily be fixed up an MOTed.

Hi - I had this on eBay but have been mucked about by the person who "bought" it two weeks ago so it is back up for sale. Price now
reduced to £350 but I'm open to offers.
