Its going to be very hard to prove there was ever any money in the safe. But surely the diggers that were sold would have had a value.
Sounds like the last thing you want to be trying to sort out. I can see why some people say leave it be, and also why other people say follow it
through as a matter of principle. Whatever you choose, good luck....
