I can understand the panels, but how did you manage to break a light switch by spinning the car?

Nasty! Guess that could have been a lot worse. I assume the chassis has bent?

Ah, "PARTS", I read that wrong for a minute...

Glad you weren't hurt and not too much damage done.

id look at some side impact bars too! i see its a 50mph zone but how fast were you going roughly when you hit the post to bend the chassis like that?
its a weak area on a 7 and im not sure id want to drive one in anger again without a full cage or at least side impact bars. i always wonder what may happen if some tool T-bones the side of a 7? i can imaging the chassis just folding in on the driver

the top rail has moved the bottom is fine due to the welded in floorpan.. will let the insurance sort it out as i don't fancy paying for the post.. estimated speed was about 30mph when i lost the back end as it was the entrance to a dual carraigeway from a roundabout..

i am a panel beater by trade and have jigged many cars over the years and i don't see the damage that bad which is why i'm not gutted over it.. i drove it home after and it drives fine...

But definitely looking into the full roll cage now..

If it'd been a decent sized tree it would've been much worse

Hi, sorry to read about the prang, pleased it was nothing more serious (bad enough though).
Is it the right hand side switch which selects side or headlights and normally has the washer switch immediately adjacent to it? If so I have a brand new one that I bought and didn't need to use.
