Duratec Maps

Hi there

I've just built and tested my MS3 to use on a Duratec.

The Duratec will be standard with the exception of the exhaust and induction. The induction will either be a Caterham R400 Plenum and throttle body or GSXR throttle bodies.

Does anyone have some fuel, ignition and AFR tables that I could use for a base map (I can rescale the fuel map of you let me know the flow rates of your injectors)

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

Here is the link to my map used on the MS3X.

A few important notes:
-Internally stock 2007 2.0L Duratec
-2003 GSXR 750 ITBs
-24.3 lbs/hr @ 43.5 psi injectors
-Stock COPs driven by an external igniter box
-External fuel pressure regulator with return line to tank
-Generic PWM Output A is used to control the Ford FPDM (if you do not use the module you will not need this feature; if you want to maintain it you will need a pull up circuit in the proto area)
-The three wires going from the alternator to the factory ECU are unplugged and it is outputting 13.5V
-The timing map was created based on people's maps on this site; I haven't had it on a dyno so I'm sure there is room for improvement

Hi Andrew

Many thanks for this, I had a look at your build blog, some great work there!

It would be great to get some maps from a car that has been on a rolling road, anyone out there?

Cheers

Ian

You might struggle to get maps that people have paid a few hundred quid for!

I've got plenty of maps for K-series cars that have been mapped...... There is a full library sharing different specs that have been mapped using the Emerald ECU.

Therefore I hoped to get a decent base map for a duratec that had been on a rolling road.

So far I've got one map for a standard 2.3 that was on a rolling road I think

Someone elses MAP is just that, SOMEONE ELSE'S.

The map is junk to you unless the motor and install is IDENTICAL.

You don't even know what induction you are going to install, this will have a huge influence on your settings and mapping.

Especially with ITB's, in that case you may need to look at using Alpha-N or the Hybrid in Extra code.

You need a wideband O2 and you can tune it yourself.

MS3 for a 4 cyl is overkill unless you want the onboard logging.
