MK For Sale

MK De Dion Yellow 2004 with Tuned Vauxhall 2.0 SEH 8V on bike carbs.

I purchase the car as part built in 2000 and completed it for the summer of 2004 passing the SVA test first time at Nottingham SVA centre. Car is all correctly registered and is on a Q plate. I have since use it during the summer months every year since, clocking up over 12,000 enjoyable miles. Over that time I have made a few changes and improvements .I have a complete folder of receipts and build details/photos as well as a small amount of spares.

Bodywork

Car is fitted with fibreglass nosecone, bonnet, scuttle and 4 wheel arches these have been painted. (The panels where painted at different times and are not a complete colour match)

The Bonnet has a hole cut in it for the air filter and previously had a bonnet bulge fitted to cover the originally fitted standard injection.

It has an aluminium rear panel that has also been painted and bare aluminium side panels. (Aluminium panelling is not perfect but was fitted when I purchased the car part built)

MK sportscars plastic fuel tank.

MAC 1 smoked aero screen.

Drivetrain

The chassis is painted blue not powder coated.

De Dion rear end with 3.62 LSD sierra diff with bolt on driveshafts.

Opel Manta 5 speed gearbox.

Sierra disc brakes all round cosworth rears and 240mm sierra fronts. Has wilwood brake bias adjuster in the engine bay. Also ford fiesta brake master cylinder fitted for better brake feel.

Brake pipe flexes are fully stainless steel and kunifier solid brake pipes.

Full set of protech adjustable aluminium coilovers fitted with 350lbs front springs and 180lbs rears.

Set of five team dynamics 15 inch alloy wheels four fitted with 195/50/15 Toyo T1S tyres all with plenty of tread.

Modified Sierra quick rack 2.5 turns.

Aries motorsport 2 core escort radiator and locally made aluminium header tank.

Electric fan and adjustable fan switch.

Interior

Pair of Cobra Roadster seat with yellow piping and Sabelt 4 point harnesses.

Full set of VDO gauges fitted.

Interior is trimmed out with black plastic panels and homemade carpets as well as an aluminium handbrake handle, indicator stalk and gear knob.

Mountney 10” steering wheel.

I have made a lockable boot box big enough for two crash helmets.

The car has a current MOT until the start of June 2014 but is currently sorned so has no tax.

The car is in North Lincolnshire.
