Caterham sigma alternator

hi,

does anyone know what alternator caterham use on there 1.6 sigma cars?

I think they use the stock one on the upper front engine mount...

I still think it's all stock. It was on one of the (Academy?) race cars I was nosing last year.

The alternator in the photo has a Ford sticker and part no on it but I can't see it clearly. It would have to something pre-smart charge like mk 4 fiesta if you are not using OEM ECU.

Can sort make out 12v 70amp, which would fit in with 95-02 fiesta 1.25 and 1.4

no im aftermarket ecu,

a smart charge alternator with no smart charge wiring defaults to full charge it never stops working anyway

i currently run a small alternator but have had belt guidance issues, looking for a faultless setup like OEM

I am intending to run a smaller alternator (though 60A, not the tiny 45A one).
You are throwing the belt off? Are you running the MSport idler on the front of the cylinder head? Is it a belt length/tension issue?

yes i run the m sport idler, having issues shedding belts, 3 times now, ive made 3 differnt setups

i think the last maybe when the camshaft failed the shock threw the belt to be fair but im getting fed up of it
