Blyton, 28th March some info...

Hi all,

Just a quick post about Blyton,
I've asked about running the eastern circuit in the afternoon.
I've been told that they will make that decision during the morning session as it is quite a tricky layout, and a couple have already found the Armco at the end of Curve Grande. So they will make the decision on safety, and also numbers, as they can't run as many cars on that layout.

Camping the night before is on, the gates will be open until 8pm, but if you turn up before 9pm, call me (07815070491,and you'll be let in, if you've had major problems give me a call and I'll see what I can do after that, but I can't promise anything after 9pm.

Also, if there's enough interest, they might get the go karts out on the kart track for us to have a go on on Friday.

That's all for now, cheers Frank.

If anyone has any issues with the car which a welder (mig) or big arse compressor will solve I live 4 miles east of blyton but maybe moving on that day to less than a mile away. I am rubbish at welding but you can use it. Also if someone comes over and helps me I'll throw it in car to bring to track.

Cost of labour 50p per hour.

Thanks

I'm just gauging opinion here, a friend of mine has asked me on behalf of somebody at her sons school.
A friend of her son is 18, he has ceribal palsy (I've probably spelt that wrong), and he's mad about Motorsport, and has always wanted to have a ride in a track car.
If he can come, would any of you be happy to take him for a ride round the track?
Obviously not flat out, just a couple of warm up laps.

Cheers Frank.

I'd happily take him out. I've done a "Wishes for kids" day at Donington a couple of times and you spend all day giving sick and handicaped kids rides around a sprint circuit.

As for not flat out, at the W4K day we work a thumb signal system; thumb down for slower, level for OK, up for faster... never seen anything but thumbs up yet!

I'd be happy to take him/her out for a run too - thumbs up, down sounds like a good way of doing things.

The only possible problem might be that I have a full roll cage and no doors so getting in and out might be tricky, especially with ceribal palsy.

ditto the above, simple thumb signals will be strictly obeyed, if I can put a smile on their face then that's all the encouragement I need to take them out.
