Sticker advice for a mad woman

A friend of mine is doing a solo cycle race across America, 3000 miles and 170,000ft altitude change in no more than 12 days and 21 hours. She just asked me :-

I have a quick question... can anyone recommend a product for attaching signage to a car which will a) stick and b) come off again without taking the paint with it? I need to attach some sponsorship signs and race numbers etc to hire cars preferably in a way that I get my deposit back!

I don't know myself, but I thought someone here would

If you know push bikes more than body work, more detail of her madness here :-

Regards,
Dave

I've used vinyl wrap on a car body and it comes off easily. You could use the same stuff and stick your stickers on that.
I got it off ebay, cheap as chips and easy to use.

Anybody who makes the vinyl stickers can make them with low tack vinyl, it is designed for exactly what you are doing.

If it's going on a hire car I'd trust a magnetic sign rather than any vinyl, I've not yet seen any vinyl that comes off perfectly (and hire companies will use any excuse to keep your deposit!)

You can get static cling signs made up. Very easy to put on and take off and almost infinitely reusable. Also no glue to worry about.

Magnetic signs are ideal, as are window static cling vinyl's.I wouldnt be putting vinyl on the paintwork if you want it easily removable. My wife produces both if you want any advice.
