N/A cosworth YB turn key package
Up for sale is my N/A 2-litre Cosworth YB race/fast road engine.
I purchased the engine from performance ford magazine with prospects of fitting it into a Mk3 Capri. Sadly after trying various places to get the car
insured it seems that it will cost over £8000 which is way too much.
The engine was built by retro Motorsport UK and has been setup on the dyno at DTW in essex and professionally mapped by the staff at Specialist
components.
The engine is turn key package complete with ECU and loom.
The spec of the engine is:
2.0-litre 205 block naturally aspirated Cosworth YB,
Wossner high compression pistons
with three angled valve seats,
Two angled valves
Custom grind Piper cams and vernier pulleys
Stage 3 Ported cylinder head
AT Power shaft-less direct-to-head throttle bodies complete with ITG filter and backplate and 100mm extension tubes
105Speed stainless manifold
Cosworth 2wd Alloy sump
Piper double valve springs
Cosworth Steel crank
Mahle Motorsport main and big end bearings,
ARP bolts and fixings throughout,
Multi layer WRC head gasket,
2WD water pump,
Specialist Components Typhoon 2 ECU and loom-with map installed-includes lead for connecting to pc
Burton Power steel flywheel to fit type 9
CDF Racing 2wd pulley set complete with with trigger wheel,
Matt Lewis Motorsport wasted spark coil pack and ignition leads,
Matt lewis Ultimate sensor kit
High pressure oil pump
Fuel pressure regulator
New cambelt and tensioner
Bosch 044 fuel pump and mounting cradle
Oil catch tank and breather outlets
