Carbon rear lamp plinths, Anyone interested ?

A friend of mine works with carbon fibre in his spare time, making parts for friends & has said that he might make a batch of these light plinths in real carbon fibre if there is any interest ? I have them in carbon fibre 'effect' but I don't really like the look.

I would like a set of 4 for my rear lights but he has asked anyone that might be interested to let me know on here, that way he can work out some prices to see if its viable or affordable etc.

If you reply on this thread with an interest & how many you would need, 4 or 6 etc I will let him know & he can work out some prices.

Cheers, Andy

Did he have a ballpark figure in mind?

I would be intrested in 6 price dependant obviously!

I too don't like the carbon effect ones, and will go for plain black otherwise.

I am going to drop one of mine over to him, I think his plan is to get a rough idea of numbers & then he will work out a price per plinth, then I can let people know to see if they are still interested before he makes them.

As soon as I know I will pass on a cost, it will probably be a couple of weeks for an answer on price.

If it's too expensive I will paint mine black instead :-)

Another product that may be worth him looking at is Sierra steering column cowlings? They seem to be in short supply

I was after one while back as I needed the larger (adjustable) column shroud. The only ones I could find were some dodgy looking Grp ones on eBay.

I would definitely be interested in 6.

I've yet to find anything that states 'carbon fibre effect' that remotely resembles real carbon fibre!

Me too, 6 off required so let's see how much he can do them for. Price wise, about £18 each would be tops I reckon people would be willing to pay.

Quick update, ended up winning a super big project at work & my life has disappeared this month !
(& possibly the next 4 months too)

As soon as I manage to to get a moment to see my chum I will let you all know what he says.

Cheers

I'm definitely interested in at least 2, possibly 6 (again, depending on price).
