k series replacement
hi all is there an engine that will replace the rover k lump without to much bother?

I guess it depends what gearbox you are using and what bellhousings are available, if its a Type 9, the Zetec / Duratec / pinto / crossflow / Vauxhall
16v (cant remember the designation)

someone i knew put a T16 engine in place of a k series ,not sure how much work was involved but can get some more info you want ?

T16 is great strong engine but nearly 50kg heavier than the K16.

Obvious like for like would be the zetec se/sigma or the 4age (small revvy light engines around the 130-150hp mark) but both a lot of hassle for not a
lot extra. I would stick with a vvc k series, all anciliaries would just swap over, need a couple of wires for the vvc control or go aftermarket ecu
and tbs for 180hp.

There's a later turbocharged K-series used on Rover 75's that's what I'd go for.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
