Most powerful Live axle factory Caterham of the '80s?

Hi folks,

am I right in thinking that the most powerful live axled production Caterham of the '80s would have been the 1984 1600 BDR (150bhp) which would have had a Ford 2000e semi-close ratio box, an Ital axle, Triumph uprights and a modified mini steering rack?

I think that its successor, the 170BHP BRD included the recent shift to De Dion axle and XR4i gearbox.
