At that price it is a fantastic bargain, if I had the money spare just now I would buy it and store it for my next project.

Only trouble is they have a pathetic torque rating.... and I know the quaife ones were riddled with reliability issues. Not sure about the Elite ones.

For comparison the last transmission I built is good for 1500hp/1500lbft.... And it has paddle shift

There were a few tales of woe with input shafts breaking and gear issues in the old version, but i believe they have sorted that now.

To be fair though i think some folks were using wide slicks and engine braking coming dowm the box which stressed the shafts.

a Mate has ordered one and its on the way for his Cossie powered Mk1 Escort

They do an IL300 version aswell iirc
