Advice on odb2 needed

ok so I have an obd2 port lead to connect to my laptop but can't find my dvd.
What software do you guys use and where can I download it,

These days I use my phone with a Bluetooth OBD reader, but this is the one I used to use with my laptop USB version:

My OBD scanner came with a cd which I have just looked at and contains some kind of software. Your more than welcome to borrow the cd and scanner if you want, to see if its any use.
