LEGEND - Arctic Adventure
I finally completed the video from my Arctic Adventure in the Indy. 5000 miles in 10 days to the Arctic Circle and back, including 3 of the top 10
driving roads in the world and some of the most stunning scenery I've ever seen.
Three cars. My son and I in my Indy, Ash Gardiner in his Thruxton GT bodied Haynes and Dick Primitt in his highly modified Tiger Cat.
As featured in last months CKC magazine.

Awesome adventure and thanks for posting the vid. Makes me ashamed at leaving the car in the garage in anything below 65 degrees

Looks like a great trip. How did it compare cost wise to the rest of Europe? Were the roads busy or could you make "good progress"?
Love the editing. Only critical comment would be, can't you turn the music down (at least in the tunnels) and let us hear the cars. What
softwear do you use? It's something I'm no good at so although I would like to do a summary of a whole trip, I usually just post
individual videos seperatly.

The trip took 9 days yes he said 10 in the script but trust me he was wrong. The trip was fun and the people he went with enjoyed it. The food and
hotels are not cheap but its a once in a life time trip. As he said in the mag ckc you only need plastic and everyone spoke english. Fuel was easy
lots of fuel stops and every one was pleased to see the mad english and the cars. The weather was stunning and the roads are to die for. The cost was
not to bad beer was an arm and a leg total fuel cost was just under £1000
How do know well im the one in the yellow car, Neil and me love our ledgend runs and are planning our next one in the uk, all the ledgends are
different themes.

I think you should send this video in to the top gear research team. The three muppets could each select a home built car as an example of the
progress that has been made in kit car design over the last 20 years. I am sure they could add a few daft challenges along the way and with home
built cars and the route you took it would make more interesting viewing than some of the recent trips they've undertaken.
What three cars would you like to see my choice would be
1. Westfield type (but not a Westy or Caterham, too predictable) probably bike engine
2. Sylva Fury/Phoenix with tuned crossflow or zetec
3. MEV tr1ke

Thanks for all the positive comments. As Dick said the trip was a bucket list type event. That's the whole purpose of the LEGEND Challenges.
The Nine/Ten day debate is due to the fact we chopped out a route from the end of the trip to avoid driving back into Sweden on some rubbish roads
after we'd sent the afternoon on the Lysebotn climbs and twists. We turned south instead of east and headed to the ferry from Kristiansun to
Halstills in Denmark. We slept in the cars at the ferry terminal overnight and got the first ferry crossing at 5:45am. Hit Denmark at 9am . At the
point we pressed HOME on the Satnavs. 892 miles! Our challenge was then to do that in the day!! Which was day 9.
What followed was mental to be honest and would be lost trying to describe it on the page but the bottom line is we got seperated in a severe storm
and ended up on the 12:40am crossing at the chunnel on day 10 technically.
As I said.... EPIC
