BT Hub 5 vs Wireless Printer

Evening all,
We have recently changed to BT Fibre Broadband, up to this point our Canon MG3100 Wireless Printer was working/connecting fine.
Now we can only connect to the printer by using the cable.
Any tech experts out there that can give me an idiots guide to solving this?

Thx
Wom

Have you plugged the printer into the laptop, run the set up disc, and crucially, but the new routers password into the printer?
The new router password seems to be the one everyone forgets

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

We have exactly the same issue since we went onto BT fibre broadband. Used to be able to access the wireless printer through the hub from I pads, smart phones and laptops. Had IT experts in and no result, baffles them as well and at its best getting any device to find the printer is sporadic.

So much for technology, like Wom, I want my printer back

On a similar note with Sky broadband I used to be able to move/share the music folder on me PC with my lappy in the other room on WiFi.

Now still in separate rooms but wired to the hub it says I don't have the correct privileges to open or do anything with the shared folders. Have to use the USB stick to move stuff.

Not bothered too much as my new BT infinity is moving at 80mb and I'm quite impressed.

We've just got one of these from BT.

I noticed whenever a new device is connected it seems to want to go through a parental controls setup screen before you can access the network.

I'm wondering if this is causing a problem for the printer?

Other than that, no idea I'm afraid.

I assume you have the latest home hub which would be dual band - some peripherals struggle with dual band and require tweaks in router settings - I had to do this for my wifi IP camera

probably not relevant but worth checking if all else fails
