What is it and what's it worth ?

So the engine is an rv8. It had a few nice bits, some have now gone. Can any of you eagle eyed bunch tell me what the gearbox is and what it's from ? The two bell housings ?
I am assuming the engine is seized/scrap so anything better will be a bonus. What would it be fetching on ebay if for sale ? Ie what's it worth ?

Cheers

Separate bellhousing looks like RV8 to LT77, but could be v8 to 4 speed P6,

engine looks like a P6.

Gearbox is LT77 but the attached bellhousing looks like SD1 2.3 or 2.6 straight 6.

RV8 LT77 bellhousings tend to fetch 80 - 120, the ratios in the box if it is an SD1 6 aren't much good for the V8, but the casings and extension would be usable for anyone with a shot V8 box.

TR8 and Cobra builders are the target....

High alternator makes it a rangerover/landrover engine probally an 8.1 low comp piece of rubbish.

The long bell housing on top is Range Rover/landrover, the gearbox is not off a v8 as the bell housing is wrong, could be off a 2.6/2.3 SD1, TR7

The first motion shafts are different lengths so you cannot just swap the housings.

Not worth much more than £50 in that state, mine was a good runner with autobox, wiring and ecu for £130.

Despite looking good and running looking inside it still needs a new can followers and timing set. Not looked under the heads yet

Oh well I've bought it now. As long as the bell housing is for 5 speed I won't have lost out. Not struck it lucky either
