closed cockpit kit cars

Alot to be said for the wind hiding noises is my thought right now

Anyone been in others like an Ultima?? Mines not particularly noisy but I can hear the wind a bit and of course with our roads and the car quite stiff ever bump is a bit of a bang (not literally).

sound normal?? Drives fine and you can talk without shouting Im just wondering with refinement as time goes on how much noise am I going to be able to get rid of.

I had a GTM Libra for about 5 years.

In that time I chased noises from suspension, shocks, springs, wind, road, exhaust heat shield, gear change rods etc etc.

I ended up changing the exhaust, shocks, gear change, rear suspension etc and adding quite a lot of Dynamat and filling the voids in the monocoque.

In the end it was much better. Certainly not production car refined but at the end of the day the Libra was developed for the same cost as the Lotus Elise door hinge!
