Wanted, top bloke with lathe in Herts/Bucks area

Hi, first time in this part of the forum.

Is there anyone in the Bucks/Herts border area (I'm in Chalfont St Peter) with a lathe that can shorten a spacer for me please.

Beer tokens provided.

Many thanks in advance

Mark

Can't help with the lathe but your build looks interesing. Is that an Alfa V6 going on an RX8 box?

I'm in Harpenden, but I've only just got it and in no way experienced with it. What dimensions is it and what do you want it to be?

Regards,
Dave

Hi thanks for the replies

Stevenage is a little far but will keep you in mind Stot.

Scudderfish, spacer is already right od 20mm and Id 10mm, just too long, needs about 10mm off one end to 30mm, so nothing complicated. Plus I wouldn't mind having a look round your car, give me an idea of how much space I've got in the engine bay, because yours must be pretty tight!

I haven't used a lathe since my apprenticeship 25 years ago, I think I may need to get one myself eventually.

SJ. Spot on, it is challenging that's for certain, I'm having to make it up as I go along, which is half the fun and half the headache!
