I had a Ford Orion 1.6i , E639 VOC, and got the local Ford dealer to do it . Unfortunately they got the reg. number wrong on all the glass. I made them replace them all, must have cost them a bit.

Only one attempted theft when parked in York. Came back to car to two find guys in it just about to start it, they had busted the ignition etc. Luckily they legged it instead of starting it. Got an alarm fitted after that.

I had an XR3i fully etched, all windows including sunroof.
It got stolen, a while later Police asked me to identify the car as the traffic cop ( they had them at that time) I'd the car on the engine number not the fake reg and it came up as mine. Young kid, well younger than me at the time, had it bought for him by Dad who lost everything to the insurance company.
The scrote who ringed it, workshop near breakers yard, had changed all the glass.
I is it on welding and exhaust mods.
Nothing was safe in those days, so much better now.
