Suitable alternator for Pinto?

Hi all, just looking for a suitable alternator for my Pinto install ..... I have a standard Pinto alternator but understand space is tight

Would this be suitable for use on a 2.0 Pinto ? Genuine NIPPON DENSO OE Lightweight 45 AMP Alternator - Classic / Track Car

Seems to be a reasonable price for an new (unused) unit and comes complete with plug and v-pulley

Its what I used on my Pinto (though not from these people). Worked well and had it a couple of seasons, certainly saves a lot on room and weight. Dont know that it is unused , says it has been removed from a vehicle and has not done any work. Would certainly cost a lot more for a UK sourced new one.

That's what I've got. It's a Kubota digger / tractor alternator.

Mine works great and has been on for several years.

You'll need to faff about with diodes to get a warning light working, and I couldn't easily find a connector for it.

Pulling a used one off a car with the plug might be easier. I had to get a grooved pulley for mine as well.
