when i got my st170 it came with all the ancilleries so i still have alll the intake and injection what would the price diffrence and performance be to set it up with injection was thinking emerald k6 or simillar with injection
or nodiz with vvt controll adds up to neary the same price
so its more performance needs than anything elese whitch getts me the most bang for the buck

There is a couple of things to iron out here -

To control fuel and spark there are basically two options -
1) Nodiz/Megajolt (plus VCT controller) and bike carbs (zx9r possibly)
2) emerald/omex/megasquirt plus bike throttle bodies noting you may still need to use the VCT controller if the ECU cannot do it

In original post jetting is only applicable to bike carbs.

ST170 manifold can be used for either system but the carbs/throttle bodies will probably need respacing and some parts modifying (balance links between the cylinders), the alternative is a bespoke manifold to fit the unmodified carbs/tbs (see Danst for an example). For option 2) you could also stick with the original manifold and single throttle body or use a plenum system like the ones form pepper performance or Kit Spares.

Finally, bike carbs and throttle bodies need different fuel pumps as they run at very different pressures.

Chester sports cars is a good place to start fro bike carb kits aswell.

Finally, you can get the ST170 working with all of the original ford parts, there is a thread on here telling you how to do this (zero cost option).

Hope this helps.
