Mazda MX5

A friend of mine has her 1999 MX5 up for sale....i thought fellow locostbuilders could be interested in the car as potential donor for new build or parts
its a 1.8, 65,000 miles, got a current mot, good runner, used daily, bodywork is shabby but rest is good...excellent for a project or kit!
She needs to move it on quickly as an newer car has been purchased.
she's looking for £500

Which i think is good value!

If only she was closer.....
However if doesn't manage to sell it ask her to contact AK Automotive in Rowlands Mill linky
NTDWM but all-round good guys.
If they don't know anyone interested the may buy it to break and it'll do other owners a favour by adding to the parts pool.
Cheers, Pewe10

How shabby is the bodywork - I would be interested in it as a runner rather than a donor. U2U inbound.

Not an MX5 fan myself, but it does sound like a good donor car for someone.

If it's £500 including the hard top and the number plate that's a bargain I wish I was closer .

Providing the front chassis rails and rear arches are sound that's got to be a bargain (hardtop's alone go for not far short of the asking price) - quick someone bite her hand off.....
Having said that about the chassis rails to a Locoster with a Mig welder and the fact that repair sections are available it's not too difficult a job by all accounts.
Nick if you fancy it I'll take you out in my s/c Mk1 - that should change your mind!
Cheers, Pewe10
