2001 Volvo - Brake Pedal

Mate at work has a 2001 Volvo (has ABS fitted)

It stops ok but there's a distinct lack of feel with the Brake pedal and my first thought was the master cylinder
He tell's me this has recently been replaced and his local mechanic is now scratching his head

I was thinking one of the brake hoses was in poor condition and was 'expanding' slightly ?

Its not loosing any fluid and the pedal isn't spongy as if there was any air in the system, The pedal goes down to the same point every time

Ideas Please ?

I'll check with him tomorrow, but I think he said the servo had been replaced at the same time ?

Caliper related, stuck piston or guide pin, missing anti-rattle clip or just the pad sticking in the caliper. If the handbrake works via the rear calipers it could also be a handbrake adjuster issue.
Three main ways to track it down,
(1) Feel each calliper in turn for movement while somebody pumps the pedal on and off hard.
(2) Clamp each flex hose in turn and try the pedal.
(3) Just fit new pads and check everything is free and that the pads aren't worn tapered.
