IVA test yesterday

Some photos from the IVA in Livingston today. Davie the examiner was great, even though he broke my handbrake (he's stronger than he looks). Everything else was fine, although I was crapping myself about emissions. A new cable has been ordered and I'll be back in a few weeks. Can't believe I'm nearly on the road - what am I going to do with my time?

Well done! Although it's a shame about the handbrake cable. Nearly there! What engine have you got in that?

Cheers Steve,

1.8 Blacktop Zetec with MS2 and GSXR throttle bodies. Thought I'd keep it simple to start with. Here's a picture of it.

Good luck for Wednesday should be a formality as I think they just test the fail point
Once your registration application is in they are currently taking about 2 weeks to do the registration , after 2 weeks call kits n rebuilds and enquire of progress once confirmed ask them to email you a copy , my local car accc shop accepted this and did my plates rather than waiting for the post to come... and then enjoy . The rest we can sort out when you are ready ,
Gary

Good luck with the retest.

I'm guessing the Bishopbriggs test centre is now closed as you went to Livingston?

hi. You should get back a V5/55 form application for first registration , download amateur build declaration, ( I got all the forms when they sent me my vin number) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/amateur-built-vehicles-declaration-iva-4
Oh and the registration fee went up in march so with the admin fee I was £290 in total, any problems call kits and rebuilds , they are very helpful
