My first project car - Locost with 1300 Xflow

Afternoon all

Just bought a little project for the summer:

It needs a good bit of work but looking forward to getting stuck in when it arrives this week!

My dad built a Marlin Roadster when I was growing up and always fancied building a kit but thought this would be a good place to start.

Welcome!

Looks like a lovely car and the crossflow is a great little engine to play with. Guessing you'll be stripping things down and modifying, but if I were you I'd check all the suspension and chassis bolts, check the wishbones and bushes for cracks or wear, ensure the brakes work then just enjoy it over the summer!

Save the serious tinkering for winter.

Edit: looking at the chunks out of the tyres and no number plate I guess it's not been through the iva or sva?

Thanks for the advice will do!

Current plan is to strip it down and rebuild it with some minor mods first.
I'll be taking it to a few track days this year and deciding which way to go from there.

No It's never been on the road. I have the donor docs but only planning to track it.

It's home!

Gave it a good clean and shakedown at weekend making a list of work I want to carry out as I went.

Providing I've made enough progress I'm autotesting in it at the end of the month:
