Fuel pump wiring on Redtop / c20xe

Probably a stupid question but worth double checking:

I can see on my Redtop that fuel pump is not running when on ignition live. It is running when pushing the starter, so I am guessing that perhaps it's only the suction that is pulling the fuel in. I need to get the multi-meter on the fuel pump when I next run it, but just as a sense check, can you confirm if it should be pumping on ignition live or not?

I think the fuel pump is controlled by the ecu and connected in through the loom, but again need to check.

Many thanks

Matt

The fuel pump will run once the ecu tells it too.

It'll be controlled by the ecu, but it's probably priming or running while starter circuit is engaged because it's not yet officially running in the eyes of the ecu.

Once started the ecu takes over and should run all the time with engine
