diy soft/hardcut limiter
hi all this is my first post i am just wondering if anybody can shed some light on how to make my own soft/hardcut limiter i dont fancy paying £100+
for an omex when all i want it for is pops and bangs. i have been told its possible to make 1 myself but i have no idea where to start thanks

Firstly, hi Alex! Welcome to the forum.
Rev limiting can be done "on the cheap" using an ARDUINO. It wont be easy though.
Just google "rev limiter arduino".
It might be safer, easier and quicker to find a second hand rev limiter.
In any case, a rev limiter might not generate the "pops and bangs" that you desire.
I had a Micro Dynamics RL3 on my car. No "pops and bangs".

Depends on whether you want to do it with digitals or analogue, and what car it's going on. Modern coil on plug isn't easy.
I got a circuit many years ago from Maplins magazine, and modified it, to subsequently have a rev limiter, shift lights, up/down light.
I've got a couple of the circuit boards here doing nothing, ready to plug in the IC's and go.
It takes it's signal from the coil, and cuts sparks. But, can also be used to cut fuel and or sparks.
We used them for a few years in my sons' and my nephew's grasstrackers.
