standalone ECU

Right I'm after a little advice. First of all iv got a Haynes roaster with a MX5 1.8 vvt engine and iv been looking at fitting a turbo to my car and as part of that I will be fitting a stand alone ECU (winter project). Anyway I was looking for something on Google the other day and come across this

Now my question is does anyone know anything about them or if they are any good. There is plenty on Youtube and there web page and the like of MX5 nutz but you know what its like you look around before you spend that kind o money.
