Urgent issue

Big problems with my car. Running a silvertop zetec on efi injection with a Mondeo Ecu.

Car is idling a little rough but my issue is when you put it in gear in solutters and jumps like a kagaroo then stalls.
I have changed the leads, plugs, coil pack and cleaned the throttle body and maf. Still nothing.

I have disconnected and reconnected the ecu and battery. Tried the engine without the maf, throttle and lambda sensors but still no joy.

Anyone have any suggestions as im missing out in all the good weaher and just want to drive.

Thanks

Not sure how you'd check, but is there enough fuel pressure?

Are you sure the clutch is disengaging properly?

Try starting it in gear, brake on.

Will try that tomorrow. What will that prove? Im starting to think it may be fuel pressure under load

If the clutch is disengaging or not. Car jerks forward and stalls= clutch engaged. Engine starts = clutch disengaged

Old fuel? Blocked fuel pump / filter?

I had both of these issues recently that caused my redtop to chug under power. Was fine on idle.

Make sure you've got no air leaks/split hoses on the inlet manifold that could cause rough running

Have done the inlet manifold already and thats fine. Its as soon as it goes into a gear and you get moving the whole engine gets spluttery and jumpy and cuts

Still sounds like an air leak or the ecu is missing a signal.

What age is the ecu ? As obd2 would stop you guessing.

Can you give a little more info. Does it stall without being in gear when you press the acc pedal?

Has the car ever run properly? Is it a new installation?

No so it starts and runs in neutral. If you rev it in neutral then no issue either. If you put in gear and drive off it splutters, jumps and cuts. The car was running fine then suddenly this no previous issues

Sounds like a fuelling issue to me....... Blocked fuel filter or the tank not venting properly perhaps?

Always biting off more than I can chew.....
