It would look like an MEV Exocet....and that's never a good thing, unless you own an Onyx Firefox and are into that sort of thing.

Not exactly what our asking but have a look at the Midlana.

It's a mid engine 7esq and uses all the mx5 bits. There is some discussion on the differance in width somewhere.

Joints between centres are something like

Mx5 658.8mm

Escort 609.6mm

So if you add 2" down the middle you should be good

Thanks big_Wasa, had never heard or seen a midlana before, really tidy things. Thanks for the post I'm really after some front end/suspension dimensions / drawings of a 7 sv/widebody setup using unmodified mx5 rack and uprights. If anyone can help where that's concerned it would be much Appreciated

The nearest thing to a wide body 7 with mx5 hubs is the converted haynes roadster. It's already wider than the original locost. It uses the mk2 escort rack. There are plans some where.

I doubt you would need wider than that so the mx5 rack would be 2" to wide.

You could add 2" down the middle or you could adapt the Midlana geometry.

There is no of the shelf plans for what your wanting that I've seen.

Cheers

Midlana uses an unmodified Miata rack and uprights. It's all in the book
