Moving steering rack

Hello,
I have a fwd mini using MGF subframe at the front, I would like to move the steering rack back at the most 40mm, at the moment the rack is straight as you look down on it.

On the original mini subframe the rack is angled back about the 40mm already so I would like to have a similar set up on the MGF

Would this have any negative effects

Cheers
David

All I can say is when I relocated the rack on my spitfire the steering was terrible. Resulted in a load of work to get it back (had to move the engine....)
Steering is complex, you may find a calculator or suchlike to help you? Or can you extend the steering arms on teh uprights so you keep the geometry the same, albeit reducing steering speed.
