duratec cam upgrade

I have a set of new pipercross 300 camshafts to fit to my ST150 duratec engine, the kit comes with double valve springs and valve stem oil seals, but the paperwork says my pistons will need pocketing. Can anyone confirm this info please?

without any doubt , If you take them out dunnel engines will do them ,think its about £40 pound a piston, but if your stripping it down shame your putting standard stuff back in, but could get quite pricey,or send them back and get some mild cams and your head ported at neil roper developments £400 should make it go a bit

Thanks for confirming what I thought. I agree about putting old stuff back so I'm going for forged pistons and rods now. In for a penny, in for a pound or two!

Johns right, don't waste your money mate. You've done right going for high comp versions with steel rods, it will make the bottom end much more reliable and gain more power too.

Thanks, all stripped, bores deglazed, cleaned and first piston and rod in place. Only just discovered I don't own a socket for the arp bolts. Something else to buy!
