I am happy to sell the car without the trailer, but I won't sell the trailer until the car is sold.

Weight:

The car was last weighed at 440kg in sprint trim. A few pounds spent on a carbon fibre seat, a smaller fuel tank and a lightweight battery would bring the weight down to 420(ish)Kg which is very light for a fully caged car.

A bit of history:

I bought the car in October 2015 from LCB's own Doctor Derek Doctor.

In November 2015 I did 1 track day at Brands Hatch to learn the car, which ran faultlessly.

In March 2016 I did 1 sprint at Rockingham:
The morning's first practice session showed that I had chosen the wrong diff ratio. The sprint course used at Rockingham has a very fast first section, followed by a slower, twisty infield section.
The car quickly reached max revs in 6th gear and sat there for what felt like an age.
The afternoon's first timed run was worse. The car would not change up from 3rd gear. So I drove the entire track at 65mph.
The gear linkage was fine, pointing to a problem inside the gearbox. It was time to go home and take the engine/gearbox out.

Little did I know that the Locost would not leave the garage for the rest of the season.

Whilst waiting to repair the Locost gearbox, the opportunity arose to buy a Terrapin single-seater. I spent the 2016 season sprinting the Terrapin, and replaced the Locost engine over Christmas/New Year.

Older history:

DDD wrote: "I bought the chassis in 2010 from TimC, it had been collaberation with LCB'er Steve Hignett to be an RGB Race car. I was looking to start a build and had viewed nearly all of what was for sale from the usual suppliers (MK, MAC 1, Aries etc etc) and was about to make a purchase but when I saw this chassis I had to have it.
Its just a work of art, a full round tube spaceframe with an FIA homolgated Caged Roll Cage its probably most comparable to a Road Runner SR2. Its insanely light and really stiff, as a motorsport engineer its was just the best '7' chassis I had seen (sorry to gush)."
