pinto oil ooler options

What's people's recommendations for an oil cooler for the pinto engine in a mk indy track car, I see the mocal ones but air flow to the radiator is minimal on these cars so putting a additional rad in front how much will that affect engine temps?, are the cosworth oil coolers any good for what they are the ones that go in front of the oil filter and have two coolant pipes coming out?

Second question is are there any ally coolant radiators suited to the indy ?

Hi,

Installing a small oilcooler (13-16rows) in front of the water radiator can be done. Oil cooling is a very efficient way to extract calories from an engine, so even if the oil cooler obstruct a small area on the water cooler, the global result is positive, and you will get a better engine cooling.
If you miss room, you can also chose to install a water-to-oil cooler such as Laminova or PWR,but they are not cheap. Very efficient and no need of an airflow though.
