Sump modification

Needing my BMW alloy sump altered to give more ground clearance. Anybody good at, and have the heavy duty TIG welder for welding aluminium? Or know someone or a business that could do the work?

Cheers

Craig

A local engineers here in Barnsley did mine, cost about 20 squid.
Ask Froggy on here, he could probably do it for you.
Have you seen mine? Got some photos somewhere I think.

What did you do with the dip-stick and oil level sensor that is mounted on the bottom of the sump?

Dipstick was fine and mine didn't have the sensor either. I took about 40mm off IIRC.

Had a look through your build diary of the sump modification, doesn't look to bad to modify, might have a go myself fabricating the pieces and get someone to weld it up.
