Fuel pump location

Hi all. Following advice on my bike carb conversion, mounting the bike pump i got towards the back of the car. Would i have an issue if i mounted it to the fuel tank strap or fixing it to the rear axle? '83 mk2 polo.

As long as it's gravity fed you will be OK.

But it's not a good idea to mount to any moving part of the suspension (beam/axle)

The vibration will kill the pump I hung mine on a bracket under the tank just a touch lower than the chassis using a plate and a pole bracket

But wrapped in rad hose to stop it getting damaged
