Gsx-r 1000 oil cooler

Hi
Finally I am back in a kit car and just picked up an indy r with a gsxr 1000 engine in.

It currently has the factory oil cooler with factory pipework sitting to the side of the engine side on so air flow is near nothing.

What do most do, buy adaptors to run a custom oil cooler in the nose.

Or other option i see is make an air scoop in the side panel directed at the factory cooler....

Any advice is welcome.
