creamy sump?
I've drained my sump and removed it ready for my raceline to be fitted and I've noticed a slight creamy residue on the bottom of it. The
oil itself hasn't been in long and is fairly clear, the engine has been run on and off for no more than 1 hour in total.
There was no sign of cream under the rocker when the engine was checked and there's no oil leaking from anywhere plus the water levels ok. It
seems to run ok but there is a slight petrol smell from the oil as well... Is my head gasket on its way out.

Humm, personally I would bung it back together with new oil and check regularly for oil contamination on the dip stick. If you lucky it might be
petrol+condensation particularly if the engine is not run up to temperature often.

Had it mapped yet ? I bet it's over fuelling and washing the bores if you can smell petrol in the oil.

Looks like Bore Wash- happens when engines are left idling for long periods, fuel gets past the rings and into the oil..
You need to do a flush, oil and filter change and hope no damage is done.
I had this on my Duratec took three oil changes to get rid of the petrol smell, luckily I had not diluted the oil too much.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

It has been idling on a map whilst syncing Tb's and checking AFR etc. I do need to get it mapped and out for a proper drive as its running part
adaptive so it's not getting a chance to learn.
Think I'm going to have to break out the walkie talkies and get someone to run interference out on the back roads.
