Handbrake options

Hi
What are the options for handbrakes.
Currently on sierra rear discs but about to change to wilwood power lite rear brake kit.

Currently the car has the handbrake handle of what looks like sierra item mounted on top of the tunnel but right where I want my arm.
What options are there to move it, baring in mind the new brake kit?

Strikers have the handbrake on the side of the tunnel passenger side works well

The older Caterhams have the handbrake under the dashboard on the passenger side.

My last kit had it under dash and pulled it towards yourself to put it on. Twist to release

If you want to go pull out handbrake, 2cvs use them, i have a few on shelf

On my old fury I had a sierra handbrake mounted inside the tunnel, bit of a squeeze but easy fit if you bend one of the brackets. This was an option rather than putting it on the outside. When release it was fine with the gearstick although it looks tight in the pictures.



Finished it off with a bit of faux carbon escutcheon and a brush type letter box draft excluder.

Not sure about putting it in the tunnel. I should have room as there no gbox in there.

Don't fancy it on the side though.

How have you mounted your ka one? Any pics?

I've inset mine into the tunnel so its flush when its off.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but was quite a big job in the end.

That does look good.
Not sure my skills would give a good clean finish.
Will have a look over weekend.

About to order some rear wilwoods so can do all the work In one hit too

That looks sweet. I put the handbrake in the passenger footwell and no complaints (or handbrake turns) so far!!!!!
But that looks great.

Glad everyone likes it.

I'm fortunate in that I have access to some very useful stuff at work.

The ally trim was cut out on a CNC mill (it'd look rather different if i'd done it by hand)
The Tub/Bowl underneath was 3D printed by a mate who has a 3D printer.

After Id done it I realised I'd made routing the rear brake pipe, loom, fuel lines etc much more "interesting".
